Healing Music

Music is a medium for communication which influences all levels of human existence. As such, it is an integral part of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian holistic science which promotes a happy and healthy lifestyle.

Both meditation and music, which work on the subtle element of space, are an important aspect of healing for the physical, mental and spiritual bodies. Vaidya Shri Balaji També has developed a unique approach to healing music, which is integrated as part of the daily meditation in Atmasantulana Village. Following extensive research on the Indian raga system, Vaidya També has combined specific ragas with specially selected texts to work on different energy centres in the body. The healing music can be used to promote relaxation, to generate energy, or to target specific ailments for healing, e.g. respiratory disorders, brain disorders, hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, insomnia, and so on.

For many years, Vaidya Shri Balaji També has been extensively using music as a medium for healing. A gifted and versatile artist, he has produced a wide range of Cassettes and CDs of healing music for different purposes which can be enjoyed in day to day life to maintain equilibrium and peace of mind.

MUSIC, MOOD, MIND and MEDICINE

PHILOSOPHY
Mankind trusts that in the beginning of the universe there was sound and it sounded like AUM. Sound is a vibration and naturally it has the capacity to transmit and transport energy. Organized sound and rhythm were used as prayer to communicate with THAT Almighty. In earlier research by Shreeguru Balaji Tambe, specific relationships of music and lyric compositions have been found to be working on different functions of the body. These have been refined and used a medium for therapy with excellent results. Everybody already knows that music changes one,s moods. It should also be possible to find out whether music has an effect on the field in which it is deployed.

HYPOTHESIS
Musical sound waves act on the cerebrospinal fluid in particular and the rest of the fluids in the body in general and the environmental field, to bring about desirable changes in the body.

EXPERIMENT
To understand specific changes in the body through changes in pulse, skin resistance and other methods of investigation with modern diagnostic equipment before and after exposing subjects to specific musical compositions.
